This year, our organization hosted a persuasive essay contest on the topic “how to build mental health awareness in school.” Each submission was evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Relevance
• Argument and Support
• Structure and Organization
• Clarity and Coherence
• Persuasive Technique
• Creativity and Originality

Each essay was mailed to Dr. David Christopher, Superintendent of the West Chester Area School District. 10 winners were selected, each receiving a price of $600.

Submission Details

Essays must be submitted to W.C. East guidance office by the end of the school day on May 16.

Winners will be announced at the speaker event during Viking Period on May 23.
